Rwanda Rural Rehabilitation Initiative (RWARRI) is a national Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to promoting and improving the social and economic welfare of rural communities in Rwanda. The organization is officially registered with the Government of Rwanda (Reg. No 37/11 14/SC&RT) and with the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB Reg. No 023/11).

Project Background

Under the Igiti ni Ukubaho Project, RWARRI is implementing land restoration and climate resilience interventions through agroforestry tree planting and sustainable land management practices in Rubavu and Rutsiro districts.

As part of these efforts, RWARRI aims to support selected households with sustainable water management solutions, including rainwater harvesting systems made from locally available materials such as bamboo.

Purpose of the Tender

RWARRI invites qualified and eligible bidders to submit bids for the construction of six (6) bamboo rainwater harvesting tanks which are environmentally friendly infrastructure for selected beneficiary households located in Rubavu District and Rutsiro District under the Igiti ni Ukubaho Project.

The scope of work will include the supply of materials, construction, and installation of the bamboo rainwater harvesting tanks in accordance with the required technical standards provided by RWARRI.

Procurement Method

This tender shall be conducted through the Request for Quotation (RFQ) method. Bidders shall submit their quotations through the following link:

Interested bidders will visit Rubavu, Gitsimbi and Burehe sites in Rubavu District and Nyamwenda, Mushonyi and Nkora sites of Rutsiro District where these tanks will be constructed prior to the submission deadline which is fixed on 31th March 2026, at 5:00 pm local time.
