1. Introduction 

FlyZipline Rwanda Ltd. (“Zipline”) invites qualified local, regional, and international vendors to submit proposals for the supply of electrical materials for its Karongi warehouse facility. 

2. Company Background 

Zipline operates the world’s largest instant logistics and drone delivery network, enabling on-demand delivery of healthcare, commercial, consumer, and agricultural products. 

Our facilities require reliable, safe, and continuous electrical infrastructure to support mission-critical operations. This project is essential to ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and system reliability at the Karongi site. 

3. Project Overview & Scope 

Zipline is establishing a new operational site in Karongi, Rwanda, which requires the procurement and installation of electrical systems for the warehouse. 

The project includes three primary components: 

  • Electrical Distribution Systems 
  • Lighting Systems 
  • Power Outlet Systems 
     

N.B: Detailed technical specifications are provided below in attachement 


4. Scope of Work 

The selected contractor will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, including but not limited to:

4.1 Supply 

  • Provision of all electrical materials listed in this RFP 
  • All materials must meet specified technical standards and approved brands 

4.2 Cable Management 

  • Proper routing, ducting, and protection of all cabling systems 

4.3 Testing & Commissioning 

  • Full system testing 
  • Verification of performance and safety compliance
  • Handover documentation 

4.5 Compliance & Safety 

  • Adherence to all applicable Rwandan electrical regulations and safety standards 
  • Implementation of safe working practices throughout the project 

5. Warranty Requirements 

The contractor shall provide: 

  • Material Warranty: Minimum of 12 months from commissioning 
  • Installation Warranty: Minimum of 12 months from project completion 

During the warranty period, the contractor shall: 

  • Repair or replace defective materials or workmanship at no additional cost 
  • Provide a defined response time for corrective actions (to be agreed at contract stage) 

6. Vendor Eligibility & Proposal Requirements 

Interested bidders must submit: 

  • Company Registration Certificate 
  • Company Profile 
  • Technical Proposal 
  • Financial Proposal (detailed BOQ pricing) 
  • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate 
  • Valid Social Security Compliance Certificate 
  • At least three (3) references from similar projects 
  • Proof of certified electricians/engineers 
  • Proof of Firms Engineering Licenses/certifications 

7. Commercial & Delivery Requirements 

Proposals must include: 

  • Detailed Project Implementation Plan & Timeline 
  • Proposed Payment Terms 
  • Validity period of quotation (minimum 60–90 days recommended)

9.Evaluation Criteria

  • Delivery timeline 
  • Warranty and after-sales support 

10. Terms & Conditions 

  • Zipline reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal 
  • All costs related to proposal preparation shall be borne by the bidder
