Letshego Holdings Limited was incorporated in 1998; it’s headquartered in Gaborone and has been publicly listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) since 2002. It is an inclusive finance focused group with consumer, micro-lending and deposit-taking subsidiaries across sub-Saharan Africa.

An opening has arisen within Letshego Rwanda Limited LRL for the below-mentioned position. This role is tenable at LRL. The incumbent will serve as a key member of the Country Management Team (CMC). The requirements of the role are outlined below:

POSITION: Sales and Marketing Manager

  1. Reports to: The incumbent will report to Chief Executive Officer.
  2. LocationHead Office ( KIGALI RWANDA)

Purpose of the Job:

To drive business growth, customer acquisition, revenue generation, and market expansion through effective sales leadership, strategic marketing initiatives, and relationship management. The role is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies aligned with the Letshego Rwanda’s business objectives while ensuring high portfolio quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities:

Sales Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth targets. 
  • Drive loan portfolio growth and customer acquisition across all products. 
  • Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels. 
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Lead branch and field sales teams to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Ensure achievement of profitability and revenue objectives.

Marketing & Brand Management

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility and market penetration. 
  • Coordinate digital marketing, social media, and promotional activities. 
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities. 
  • Strengthen brand positioning and customer engagement initiatives. 
  • Manage corporate events, activations, and community outreach programs. 
  • Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines. 

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate sales and marketing teams. 
  • Set KPIs and performance targets for team members. 
  • Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance reviews. 
  • Foster a high-performance and customer-centric culture.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, corporate partners, and stakeholders. 
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and retention. 
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently. 
  • Drive customer experience improvement initiatives. 

Portfolio Quality & Risk Management

  • Collaborate with credit and collections teams to maintain healthy portfolio quality.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor delinquency trends and support recovery initiatives. 
  • Minimize operational and reputational risks. 

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales and marketing reports. 
  • Analyze business performance data and provide actionable insights. 
  • Present market intelligence and business recommendations to management. 
  • Track ROI on marketing campaigns and business development initiatives. 

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Finance, or related field. 
  2. Master’s Degree is an added advantage. 
  3. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in sales and marketing, preferably in financial services, banking, or microfinance. 
  4. Proven track record in business development and team leadership. 
  5. Strong understanding of financial products and credit operations. 
  6. Experience managing sales targets and marketing campaigns
