ABAHIZI SACCO NGOMA (ASN) is the Head Office of all Umurenge SACCOs in Ngoma District, merged in September 2025 . ASN is duly registered under RCA certificate no. RGDG013327 and licensed by the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) , invites applications from qualified, motivated, and experienced candidates for the following vacant positions:

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor day-to-day running of the Internal Audit & Compliance department
- Establish the internal control checklist as per Central Bank regulations
- Submit regular internal audit reports to the Central Bank as required
- Advise management on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards
- Assist management in effectively managing the cooperative's risk
- Review risk measurement and stress testing on future liquidity shocks
- Oversee and manage all audit and internal control operations
- Develop the audit plan and prepare and deliver timely audit reports
- Verify that resolutions of SACCO organs and instructions from NBR/RCA are implemented
- Report functionally to the Audit Committee and administratively to the Managing Director
Qualification and Experience Requirements
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; OR Bachelor's degree in a related field with 10 years of senior management experience in Microfinance/Banking
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in internal audit & compliance
- Professional qualification in auditing is highly recommended
- Several years of experience in auditing and thorough understanding of Microfinance Banking and accounting practices
- Good strategic thinking with risk and control consciousness; strong decision-making abilities
- Strong analytic skills and excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills; professionalism and integrity
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Fluency in spoken and written English; knowledge of French is an advantage
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
