Background

Kilimo Trust is implementing various development projects that require periodic data collection, data entry, data verification, and other related field and office-based assignments. To support the implementation of these activities, Kilimo Trust seeks to establish a roster of qualified and experienced individuals who may be engaged on a need basis as assignments become available.

Position Title: Field Enumerators and Data Entry Clerks (Roster-Based Engagement)

Scope of Work

Successful applicants may be assigned one or more of the following tasks depending on project needs:

  • Conduct field data collection using questionnaires and digital data collection tools. 
  • Administer interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions. 
  • Perform data entry, cleaning, verification, and validation. 
  • Support data quality assurance processes. 
  • Compile and organize project records and datasets. 
  • Assist in report preparation and other monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities. 
  • Undertake any other related assignments as required. 

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Data Sciences, Information Technology, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation or related fields. 
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection, data entry, survey administration, or related assignments. 
  • Proficiency in using digital data collection platforms such as KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, or similar tools. 
  • Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other data management applications. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. 
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; knowledge of other language like Franch or Swahili is an added advantage. 

Preferred Candidates

Kilimo Trust strongly encourages applications from youth and women. Previous experience working on agricultural, rural development, market systems, or donor-funded projects will be an added advantage.

Duration of Engagement

Successful applicants will be included in a roster and may be contracted on a short-term assignment basis depending on the availability of tasks and project requirements. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee immediate engagement.
