Purpose of the job

The job holder plays a key role in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of the electrical systems (high, medium and low voltage, generators, Acs, etc) and instrumentation in the manufacturing plant and within the corporate requirements and guidelines.

II. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems (high, medium & low voltage, diesel generators, LPG boilers and ACs).
  • Support operations during shifts and on calls to achieve Plant Optimum Production capacity.
  • Ensure efficient operations, troubleshoot, and take corrective action of faulty rectifiers, AC & DC system units, alarm monitoring system and AC units.
  • Installation, commissioning, and Maintenance of different types of unit operations such as Milling, Extrusion, Packaging etc.
  • Ensure efficient operations of shift effectiveness of preventive maintenance, strongly support maintenance team shift activities, and generate reports and RCAs to the supervisor.
  • Analyse earth formation for lower earth resistance and ensure that earth formation is fully implemented by ensuring consistent earth resistance measurements.
  • Interpretation & implementation of electrical layouts and diagrams.
  • Monitor and maintain efficiency of diesel generators.
  • Complete electrical installation and maintenance within defined timelines.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering with Minimum 3 years’ experience OR 
  • Advanced diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 5 years’ experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of factory systems such as Electrical inspections.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
  • Ability to follow Electrical maintenance schedules for factory equipment/systems.
  • Ability to complete reports, logs, and inventory.
  • Strong Electrical and Instrumentation Troubleshooting,
  • PLC & Automation Understanding (intermediate level), 
  • Food Safety Awareness,
