CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR FACILITATION OF DIALOGUES FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF FOOD SUPPLY CONTRACTS BETWEEN SCHOOLS AND LOCAL FARMERS' COOPERATIVES

Introduction

Actionaid Rwanda has obtained a grant from the European Union to implement a three-year Project (November 2023 to October 2026) in Nyaruguru, Gisagara, Nyanza, Musanze and Karongi Districts to support efforts to ensure food security through women cooperatives. The Project is entitled “Improving Food Security and Boosting Farm Income for Women Smallholder Farmers in Rwanda-IFS Project”. This Project is implemented as a joint venture between Actionaid and TUBIBE AMAHORO. Among its interventions, there are initiatives aimed at strengthening local food systems through enhanced collaboration between schools and local agricultural cooperatives for the latter to participate in school feeding program. To this end, we are seeking qualified service providers to facilitate structured dialogues between selected schools and local farmers’ cooperatives with the objective of establishing sustainable, mutually beneficial food supply contracts.

The purpose of this assignment is to support the establishment of contractual relationships between schools and local farmers' cooperatives for the supply of food items. The facilitator will guide stakeholders through dialogue sessions, help identify shared goals, address concerns, and support the drafting and signing of simple, fair, and practical agreements.
