Call for Expression of Interest EoI) to provide Business Development Services (BDS) 

Africa Development Consultant Limited (ADC) is a consultancy firm registered by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), focusing on provision of comprehensive business development services to micro, small and medium enterprises(MSMEs).

In collaboration with government and non-government organizations, ADC is contributing to enabling MSMEs) grow their businesses through; trainings, coaching, technical assistance and over all tailored Business Development Services (BDS) 

It is based on the above context that ADC is seeking to increase the number of Associate Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs) to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Eastern Province of Rwanda on their growth journey. 

The Applicants with go through interview and successful ones shall go

 Through ADC-BDS orientation before contracting as ADC Business Development Service providers. 

Objective

The objective of this call for EoI is to identify and select qualified Associate BDSPs who will be linked to MSMEs under ADC Portfolio. The BDSPs will get service contracts from ADC. While ADC provide BDS countrywide, with this call, is looking for BDSPs located in the Eastern Province of Rwanda. 

Scope of Work

The contracted BDSPs will work closely with ADC Business Development Officer and respective enterprise in the identifying the BDS needs and providing the customized BDS support. 

Requirements

  • Qualifications: A University degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance & Accounting, Agri-business, Economics; Rural Development or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong communication in English and Kinyarwanda, coaching, and training skills.
  • Experience: Proven experience in providing business development services to MSMEs is an added advantage.

Selection Process

The selection process will involve:

  1. Application: An interested candidate will submit an application letter and a CV.
  2. Interview: Only shortlisted BDSPs will be invited for an interview.

Expected Outcomes

The selected BDSPs are expected to:

  • Enhance MSME Growth: Contribute to the growth and development of MSMEs in the Eastern Province.
  • Improve Business Skills: Enhance the business skills of MSME owners and managers.
