The Urugo Women’s Opportunity Center (WOC)is a multi-purpose community center in the heart of Kayonza, which promotes the social and economic empowerment of women in Rwanda. The Center offers education and rights training, job-skills training, and economic and employment opportunities for women and the community at-large. With the goal of achieving self-sustainability, the Center also operates revenue-generating activities to finance its educational and training work, such as lodging facilities, restaurant and bar, coffee shop, handicraft gift shop, market stalls, food production unit, and rental of space for meetings and events.  The Urugo-WOC is managed and operated by a Limited Liability Company (LLC) fully owned by Women for Women International.

  1. Background 

Urugo Women Opportunity Center (WOC) is a social enterprise committed to empowering  women and youth through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET),  entrepreneurship development, hospitality, dairy processing, leather works, textile  production, agriculture, and other income-generating initiatives. 

To strengthen its operational capacity and enhance practical training across its production  units, Urugo WOC invites eligible and qualified suppliers to submit sealed bids for the  supply and delivery of Machinery & Equipment for various departments. 

  1. Objective 

The objective of this tender is to procure high-quality machinery and equipment required  to improve practical training, production efficiency, and operational effectiveness across  Urugo WOC's technical training and business units.

  • Replace any defective items at no additional cost.

  6. Three (3) Recommendation Letters and/or Completion Certificates from  previous clients. 
  7. Detailed Quotation indicating unit prices, total prices, delivery period, and  validity period. 
  8. Submission Instructions 
  • Bids must be submitted in two (2) hard copies. 
  • Submission location: Urugo WOC Head Office, Kayonza District. 
  • Deadline: 23 July 2026 at 5:00 PM. 
  • Late submissions will not be considered.
