TENDER NOTICE TO SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTE SMALL LIVESTOCK FOR COFFEE FARMERS WHO ARE IN 2025-2026 KULA PROJECT FELLOWSHIP IN THREE DISTRICTS OF RWANDA: KAYONZA, GAKENKE AND NYAMASHEKE

Kula exists to eradicate poverty through the development of entrepreneurs in Rwanda’s coffee communities

Kula Project encourages and supports regenerative agriculture by providing training on farming best practices that aim at improving soil health with an end goal of harvest increased by at least 3 kgs per tree. Livestock was thought to be one of the inputs that will be provided in the course of fellowship training in order to enhance soil improvement as well as fostering compost making. The Kula project would like to invite competent and qualified companies and individuals operating in Rwanda in the sector of supplying and distributing improved small livestock for rearing purposes.


SECTION 

1. TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION

Kula Project Inc. would like to invite competent and qualified companies and individuals operating in Rwanda in the sector of supplying small livestock for rearing purposes to submit the bid of Supply 1080 of Livestock small animals (Goats) in Gakenke,Kayonza and Nyamasheke by November 25th 2025. All interested bidders are requested to submit their bids not later than 30th of October 2025.

All interested bidders are allowed to bid for three separate sites as follows : 

  • Region 1: Supply and distribute 430 goats in Kabarondo, Rwinkwavu Sectors, Kayonza District;
  • Region2: Supply and distribute 308 goats (Does/female goats) in the Rusasa sector of the Gakenke District.
  • Region 3: Supply and distribute 330 Goats (Does/ female goats) in Gihombo Sector of Nyamasheke District.

All small livestock to be distributed should be ready for reproduction in a short period after their distribution.

2. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS LIVESTOCK+DISTRIBUTION

3. INSTRUCTIONS TO THE BIDDERS (ITB)

The interested bidders will submit their offers in the respect of the following bidding requirements/Conditions:

  1. This tender is open for specialized companies in the field of supplying small livestock for production;
  2. The bidder must provide the quotations and application letter accompanied by a copy of the company registration Certificate and proof to avail of the electronically generated bill (EBM) for the payment;
  3. The application letter must be addressed to the Executive Program Director - KULA PROJECT ;
  4. The financial quotations shall include transport costs and other related charges including applicable taxes;
  5. The bidder shall be ready to distribute all small livestock in respect of the given technical specifications;
  6. Before, the reception, the physical verification of supplied animals will be done by KULA PROJECT staff in collaboration with Farmer Group Leaders;
  7. The supplied small livestock which does not comply with the technical specifications will not be accepted and received. The supplier will be requested to replace them before payment.
