Dear Sir/Madam,

Compassion International Rwanda Office (CIRW) is pleased to invite all interested and eligible firms to submit bids under an Open Tender for the provision of Professional Translation Services for sponsor and child correspondence.

CIRW is a Christ centered organization committed to the holistic development of children in partnership with local churches. Sponsors and the children they support keep meaningful relationships through regular written correspondence, and CIRW seeks a qualified translation company to provide accurate, timely, culturally appropriate and confidential translation of this correspondence.

Interested firms with proven experience in English and Kinyarwanda translation, qualified translators and editors, sound quality assurance and the capacity to manage high volumes are encouraged to participate.

  • Scope of Assignment: Translation of sponsor and child correspondence from English to Kinyarwanda and from Kinyarwanda to English (about 21,428 letters each way per month), with editing, proofreading and quality assurance
  • Contract Period: Framework agreement for one (1) year, renewable annually for up to two additional years

Submission Requirements:

  • Bids must be submitted in two sealed envelopes: one for the Technical Proposal and one for the Financial Proposal.
  • Clearly mark each envelope with the Tender Reference Number (CIRW 001/2026-2027) and the Bidder's name.
  • Deadline for submission: November 11, 2026, at 5:00 PM, at the Compassion International Head Office at KACYIRU,8 KG 548 St, Kigali. Late bids will be rejected.
