REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR EXTERNAL EXAMINERS AND MARKERS
1. BACKGROUND
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR) is mandated by Law No. 11/2008 of 06/05/2008 to regulate and grow the accountancy profession in Rwanda and to safeguard the public interest. ICPAR administers two professional qualifications: the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT).
Examinations for both CPA and CAT are conducted four times annually, in February, May, August and November, at designated centres across Rwanda. In addition, there are two CAT sittings, in June and September, under the CAT initiative in high schools. ICPAR is a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), and aligns its education and assessment processes with the International Education Standards (IES).
ICPAR now invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join its pool of External Examiners and Markers for the CPA and CAT examination series.
