Background

Easy and Possible Organization “EPO” is a social, non-profit, non-governmental, non-political organization. EPO is formally registered with the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) with the certificate number 342/RGB/NGO/LP/07/2018, and posted in the official gazette No 25 of 24/06/2019).

EPO has implemented numerous impactful projects that have received national recognition for their contribution to youth capacity building and community development.

In 2020, EPO established the Forum of African Youth Organizations (FAYO), a continental platform that brings together youth-focused organizations to promote collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development across Africa. 

EPO currently manages several affiliated initiatives, including:

  • EPO Media House, composed of ISANO FM Community Radio, Public Places Community Media, and their digital platforms
  • ISANO Vocational Training Center (VTC)
  • ISANO Savings Groups

To strengthen coordination, accountability, and impact across these initiatives, EPO seeks to recruit a qualified and motivated Project Manager.

Job Purpose

The Project Manager will overseetheplanning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of EPO, FAYO, and affiliated projectsensuring effective delivery of activities, sound financial management, and alignment with organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Manager will:

Project Planning and Implementation

  • Coordinate the implementation of EPO and FAYO programs and affiliated projects
  • Develop project work plans, timelines, and implementation strategies
  • Ensure project activities align with organizational objectives and donor requirements
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of outputs

Financial and Administrative Management

  • Work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure sound financial planning and utilization of project resources
  • Support budget preparation, tracking, and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and donor guidelines
  • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets

Grant Writing and Resource Mobilization

  • Search for funding and partnership opportunities
  • Contribute to grant writing and proposal development
  • Lead preparation of concept notes and project proposals
  • Assist in donor communication and reporting

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Prepare periodic project progress reports
  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Maintain proper project documentation and records
  • Track performance indicators and outcomes

Partnership and Coordination

  • Coordinate with partners, stakeholders, trainers, and service providers
  • Support communication between EPO, FAYO, and affiliated initiatives
  • Assist in project proposal development and resource mobilization

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management
  • Experience in financial management and budgeting
  • Experience in grant writing, including searching for funding opportunities and developing project proposals
  • Experience working with NGOs, youth programs, media initiatives, TVET programs, or community development projects is an added advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools

  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills
  • Good financial management and budgeting skills
  • Proposal writing and grant development skills
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools
  • Excellent command of English (required)
  • Knowledge of French is an added value

Experience working with NGOs, youth programs, education initiatives, or donor-funded projects will be an added advantage.

Duration

This is a full-time position, subject to a three-month probation period prior to confirmation.
