WELDER (2 Positions)

1. Position/Job Title: Welder

2. Grade: B3

3. Department: Engineering

4. Reports To: Boilermaker Team Leader

5. Job Brief: Job Brief: A Welder is responsible for fabricating all required steelwork as assigned

6. Key Responsibilities: A Welder has the following responsibilities and duties:

Cuts & Welds Steel and Bolting Pieces
To ensure tools are in good working condition
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations and Company policies.
To ensure a safe work environment, Cleaning of work area and tools of work
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to promote a safe working environment.
To be timeous on tasks and be present at work all the time
To always be vigilant as it is a risky area,
Reporting any work issues to the Superior
Comply with Company work and leave schedules.
Comply with all Company Policies and Procedures
Perform any other duties related to your field of work as may be assigned by the Superior.

7. Job Requirements: The Welder should have the following education, experience

and skills:

A minimum of a Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Certificate III in welding or a related field
Knowledge in Welding
At least 2 years of experience as a welder
A Team Player
Willing to work overtime or shifts when necessary.
