JOB DESCRIPTION: Marketing Assistant Intern

Reports to:
1. Position Purpose
The Marketing Assistant Intern will Support the Marketing & Communications team in creating visual content, editing videos, and executing basic marketing tasks and is going to contribute to ongoing campaigns and daily content production, while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment.
2. Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design Support:
- Assist in designing banners, posters, flyers, social media visuals, and promotional materials.
- Produce creative content and ensure the design quality meets the standard
- Support in adapting and resizing visual content for different platforms.
- Work with the marketing team to translate ideas into clear, modern visuals.
Video Editing & Multimedia Support:
- Support in editing videos.
- Edit footage, apply graphics, audio, transitions, and visual effects.
- Help in producing short videos, reels, and promotional clips for digital platforms.
- Participate in filming or content creation sessions if needed.
Marketing Assistance:
- Assist with social media content creation and scheduling.
- Help the team monitor social media trends and propose creative ideas.
- Prepare captions, basic copywriting, and support with digital communication tasks.
- Participate in market research and competitor analysis.
- Support website updates and general brand communication needs.
3. Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Communication, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
- Strong graphic design and visual storytelling abilities.
- Video editing skills with a strong, demonstrable portfolio.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, scheduling tools).
- Understanding of social media trends and engagement strategies.
- Basic photography and videography skills (added advantage).
Experience
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in design, multimedia, or marketing is preferred.
- Experience working within a marketing team or creative agency in an added advantage.
- A portfolio showcasing design work and/or video editing is required.
