Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to provide technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist in maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems
- Provide technical support to end-users in person, remotely, or over the phone
- Set up new users’ accounts, permissions, and profiles
- Perform regular maintenance and updates of systems and applications
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses
- Assist with IT projects and rollouts (e.g., new hardware, system upgrades)
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT support or vendors
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and networking basics
- Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware (PCs, printers, routers, etc.)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and remote desktop tools is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MTA/MCSA
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow)
Working Conditions:
- Full-time role; may require occasional evening or weekend work
- On-site or hybrid support depending on the organization
