About Kivu Choice:

Kivu Choice is the largest aquaculture production and distribution platform in Rwanda, and the fastest growing fish farm in Africa. Founded in late 2021, the company now produces over 5 million fish meals per year and is on track to produce over 50 million meals per year by 2027. Kivu Choice operates farms across Rwanda, including Gisagara and Nyamasheke, logistics centers across the Kivu Belt and Kigali, and export sales into DRC. Our goal is to become the most affordable, sustainable, and accessible source of protein in the region.

About the Role:

We are looking for an IT Officer to support and maintain the company’s computer systems, internet network, and related technology across all sites. The person in this role will: ensure reliable connectivity, provide user support, maintain IT equipment, and assist with network and system improvements under the supervision of the IT Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day IT sites operations (Kagano Farm and Kigembe Hatchery if needed).
  • Maintain internet and network equipment (Starlink, routers, switches, access points).
  • Under supervision of IT supervisor, configure and monitor VLANs and firewalls for secure connectivity.
  • Manage and schedule maintenance for IT assets such as laptops, phones, and accessories and Keep IT Hardware Database updated.
  • Provide support to users on company emails, Microsoft 365, and help them in authentication processes.
  • Troubleshoot computer, printer, and connection issues quickly.
  • Help implement IT security, backups, and software updates.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT support or networking.
  • Good knowledge of computer networks (LAN/WAN), VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Experience with routers, switches, and Wi-Fi management.
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to travel between company sites when needed.
