Position Overview

The Head of Programs is a senior leadership role responsible for designing, leading, and scaling high-impact programs that drive measurable outcomes. The role requires a strategic thinker and execution-driven leader with a strong background in program development, fundraising, and monitoring & evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead program strategy, design, and execution
  • Drive fundraising efforts and write high-quality grant proposals
  • Build strategic partnerships with donors and institutions
  • Oversee implementation and ensure program quality
  • Establish Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks and KPIs
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing programs team
  • Contribute to organizational leadership and strategy

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of experience in program leadership
  • Strong fundraising and grant writing experience
  • Expertise in program design, implementation, and M&E
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs
  • Master’s degree preferred

Language Requirements

  • English (Fluent)
  • Kinyarwanda (Fluent)
  • French (Preferred)
