About the Role:

As the GBS Growth Lead, you will play a pivotal role in promoting Rwanda as a top destination for Global Business Services (GBS). Your mission will be to develop a clear value proposition, create compelling marketing materials, and build a strong pipeline of leads and engagement opportunities. You will represent the initiative at industry events, forums, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and attract investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing & Promotion: Position Rwanda as a prime GBS destination by developing marketing materials and promoting existing GBS companies to investors and potential clients.
  • Investor Engagement: Plan and manage inbound and outbound investor engagements, organize company visits, and engage with industry stakeholders to enhance Rwanda’s positioning in the GBS sector.
  • Talent Development & Advocacy: Map sector challenges, develop policy recommendations, and coordinate industry workshops to address skills gaps.
  • Operational & Financial Support: Oversee the work of external contractors, manage financial tracking, and prepare detailed reports for funders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Business/Trade, Marketing, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in investment promotion, business development, or investor relations.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, project management, financial tracking, and technical writing.
  • C1 English proficiency (written and spoken) is mandatory; French is an added advantage.
  • Over a decade of experience working in Africa, including at least five years based in Rwanda.
