Kilimo Trust Rwanda in partnership with SNV Netherlands Development Organization Rwanda, invites eligible applicants operating within the Power for Food Partnership (P4FP) target districts of Rubavu, Rutsiro, Bugesera, Rwamagana, Kayonza, and Nyagatare to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for partnership opportunities aimed at piloting, demonstrating, and promoting Regenerative Agriculture (RA) and Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE) technologies and practices.
The purpose of this initiative is to generate practical evidence, facilitate experiential learning, and encourage the adoption and scaling of innovative RA and PURE solutions across agri-food systems.
The Power for Food Partnership (P4FP) is implemented by Kilimo Trust Rwanda, Energy Private Developers (EPD), Peace and Development Network (PDN), Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network (RCCDN), and the Highlands Centre of Leadership for Development (HL4D), with support and coordination from SNV Netherlands Development Organisation Rwanda.
The programme aims to strengthen climate-resilient agri-food systems by integrating renewable energy solutions with regenerative agriculture practices to enhance agricultural productivity, improve energy access, increase climate resilience, and support sustainable livelihoods.
The P4FP Theory of Change is founded on the premise that productive use of clean energy in agriculture, combined with supportive policies, evidence-based learning, and strategic partnerships, can improve productivity, reduce operational costs and greenhouse gas emissions, and increase resilience throughout agricultural value chains.
