Kilimo Trust Rwanda binyuze mu mushinga Rural Youth Employment Support (R-YES)/Menya Wigire iramenyesha urubyiruko rwikorera, ibigo by’abikorera, imishinga, cyagwa ibigo bya leta ko icyiciro cya Kane (cohort 4) cy’amasomo y’igihe gito y’ubumenyingiro mu bijyanye n’ubuhinzi/ubworozi no gutunganya ibibukomokaho, kizatangira bitarenze ukwezi kwa gatatu (Werurwe) 2024. Urubyiruko rwikorera bashobora kwisabira umuntu ku giti cye cyangwa akoherezwa n’ikigo kigamije kuzamuha akazi asoje amasomo.

Ibyerekeye umushinga R-YES/Menya Wigire

Rural Youth Employment Support (R-YES) project / Menya Wigire ni umushinga w’imyaka itanu (2020-2025) ushyirwa mu bikorwa na Kilimo Trust ku bufatanye n’Ishuri Rikuru ry’Imyuga n’Ubumenyingiro (Rwanda Polytechnic), Ikigo cy'igihugu gishinzwe guteza imbere amashuri y’imyuga n’ubumenyingiro (Rwanda TVET Board), n’ihuriro ry’urubyiruko rukora ubuhinzi n’ubworozi kinyamwuga (RYAF), ku nkunga y’ikigega mpuzamahanga kita ku iterambere ry’ubuhinzi n’ubworozi (IFAD), Visa Foundation, na Minisiteri y’Ubudage ishinzwe ubukungu n’iterambere (BMZ) mu rwego rwo guha ubumenyi urubyiruko rwo mucyaro no kurwubakira ubushobozi bwo kuba abakozi beza na barwiyemezamirimo mubikorwa by’ubuhinzi/bworozi n’ibibukomokaho.

Umushinga R-YES/Menya Wigire uzakorana n’urubyiruko 1,200 baturutse mu turere 16 ari two: Intara y’Amajyaruguru (Gicumbi, Rulindo na Musanze), Intara y’Iburengerazuba (Nyabihu, Rubavu na Rusizi), Intara y’Amajyepfo (Nyanza, Ruhango, Gisagara, Kamonyi na Huye) n'Intara y’Iburasirazuba (Nyagatare, Kayonza, Rwamagana, Ngoma na Bugesera).

Ibiteganyirijwe urubyiruko:

• Gutanga ubumenyingiro ku buhinzi/bworozi bw’umwuga no gutunganya ibibukomokaho binyuze mu masomo y’igihe gito yigishirizwa mu mashuri y’imyuga n’ubumenyi ngiro n’ahandi habugenewe nk’inganda, ibigo by’abikorera n’ibigo by’ubushakashatsi.
• Kongera ubumenyi n’uburambe binyuze mu nganda zitunganya ibikomoka ku buhinzi n’ubworozi cyangwa ibigo bikora ubuhinzi/bworozi bugezweho.
• Gushyigikira imishinga y’urubyiruko yahize iyindi mu kugaragaza amahirwe yo kubyara inyungu no gutanga akazi (guhitamo imishinga bikorwa ku basoje amasomo).

• Gukoresha ibyuma n’ibindi bikoresho bitanga ubukonje mu rwego rwo gufata neza ibikomoka ku mata, imboga, imbuto, inyama, n’ibindi.
• Gukoresha no kwita ku mashini zifashishwa mubuhinzi (tractors).
• Gukoresha no kwita ku mashini zikoreshwa munganda zitunganya ibikomoka ku buhinzi bworozi.
• Gukora ibiryo by’amatungo,no kwita kuri famu z’ubworozi
• Korora inkoko z’amagi n’iz’inyama.
• Guhinga imboga, imbuto no gutunganya ibizikomokaho (vegetable and fruits production and processing),
• Gukoresha no kubungabunga bikoresho byifashishwa mu kwuhira imyaka (irrigation facilities).
• Gutunganya ibikomoka ku buhinzi bworozi (food processing).

Are you a young entrepreneur looking to acquire technical and entrepreneurial skills in agribusiness or a company, institution, project wishing to recommend youth for training in agribusiness?

Kilimo Trust Rwanda is seeking highly motivated youth to join the upcoming technical and entrepreneurial trainings for the fourth (4^th) cohort of youth in agribusiness through the Rural Youth Employment Support (R-YES)/Menya Wigire Project. Youth entrepreneur can apply or be recommended by companies, institutions, or projects.

About R-YES/Menya Wigire Project

The Rural Youth Employment Support (R-YES)/ Menya Wigire Project is a 5-year initiative (2020 -2025) implemented by Kilimo Trust in partnership with Rwanda Polytechnic (RP), Rwanda TVET Board (RTB), and Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF) with funding from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Visa Foundation, and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to build technical and entrepreneurial skills for sustainable youth employment (wage and self) in agribusiness. R-YES Project targets to support 1,200 youth (50% female) from 16 target districts including: North (Gicumbi, Rulindo, and Musanze), West (Nyabihu, Rubavu, and Rusizi), South (Nyanza, Ruhango, Gisagara, Kamonyi and Huye), and East (Nyagatare, Kayonza, Rwamagana, Ngoma, and Bugesera).

Nature of support

R-YES support includes:

• Building technical skills through short vocational courses (3 to 4 months) in agribusiness that are offered at selected Rwanda Polytechnic Colleges (RPCs), Technic Secondary Schools (TSSs) or TVET Schools of Rwanda TVET Board (RTB), and/or Centers of Experiential Learning.
• Workplace learning in agribusiness industries/ companies to expose youth to the world of work.
• Supporting most innovative and profitable agribusiness startups with potential to create job opportunities for other youth (including green jobs).

Purpose of the call

R-YES is organizing short trainings (3 to 4 months) for youth with enterprises or startups in agribusiness and those recommend by companies, institutions, or projects with intention to employ them or finance their businesses. Selected youth will undergo technical and vocational training in agribusiness industries/companies, RP colleges, and TVET schools to be equipped with technical and entrepreneurial skills for sustainable employment in agribusiness as competent employees or sustainable providers of services/products in the following areas:

• Poultry Farming (layers & broilers).
• Operation & Maintenance of agro-processing machinery (for food processing industries).
• Operation & Maintenance of coolers, cold rooms, and other refrigeration equipment.
• Operation & Maintenance of Farm Tractors and Machinery.
• Operation and Maintenance of Field Irrigation.
• Food processing
• Animal Feed Production and farm management.
• Fruits and Vegetables Production & Processing

Cost:

R-YES does not charge trainees any cost during the application and training period.

Training and learning costs are covered by R-YES project.

Selection criteria:

For individual youth, the selection will be based on a competitive application process, and the applicant must be:

• Aged between 18 – 35years.
• Having completed at least Senior Six (S.6) and above.
• Having related business or start-up with potential to create decent jobs.
• Committed to attend and complete the training.
• Having valid medical insurance or Mutuelle de sante.
• Priority will be given to residents of R-YES target districts below:
• Northern Province: Rulindo, Gicumbi, and Musanze,
• Eastern Province: Nyagatare, Kayonza, Rwamagana, Bugesera, and Ngoma,Gatsibo
• Southern Province: Kamonyi, Ruhango, Nyanza, Huye, and Gisagara

Note 1: Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

For companies, institutions, and projects wishing to recommend youth for training, the following will be considered:

• Registration certificate.
• Practical experience and investment in agribusiness areas mentioned above.

Note 2: Companies are not limited to the districts mentioned above.
