COURSE OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES
This course offers a comprehensive exploration of fundamental principles and practical procedures related to procurement management. Participants will gain a solid understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks that underpin procurement activities, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and ethical standards. The course covers the essential principles guiding procurement processes, the roles and responsibilities of key personnel, and the different methods and types of procurement. Additionally, it provides practical insights into procurement planning, bid preparation, evaluation, contract management, and record-keeping, including the importance of proper document filing and archiving. By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively oversee procurement operations, ensure compliance with procurement regulations, and manage procurement documentation securely.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the fundamental principles governing procurement activities, including scope, ethics, and transparency requirements.
- Recognize the roles and responsibilities of procurement committees and officers involved in procurement processes.
- Develop effective procurement plans aligned with organizational needs and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and differentiate between various types of procurement and select appropriate methods for different procurement needs.
- Prepare and advertise procurement tenders effectively, ensuring fairness and competitiveness.
- Manage the bidding process, including bid submission, opening, evaluation, and notification of results.
- Conduct due diligence to verify supplier credibility and compliance.
- Draft and manage procurement contracts that safeguard organizational interests.
- Apply emergency procurement procedures appropriately during urgent situations.
- Maintain proper filing and archiving of procurement documents, understanding retention periods, and access conditions to ensure transparency and accountability.

The fees will cover tuition, training materials and Certificate.
CERTIFICATE of completion
A certificate will be issued at the end of the program to every trainee who completes the course.
