Job Description: Accountant & Tax Consultant (Chinese Client Focus)
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly disciplined and ethical Accountant to manage the financial and tax requirements of our Chinese clientele operating in Rwanda. The ideal candidate must be a professional who prioritizes integrity and law-abiding practices above all else. We require a principled individual who will ensure that all financial operations strictly adhere to RRA regulations while maintaining a diligent and proactive work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and Management: Maintain comprehensive and accurate books of accounts in strict accordance with
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Tax Compliance & Filing: Manage the end-to-end tax process, including the timely and accurate filing of VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax (WHT), RSSB and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) to ensure zero penalties or compliance risks.
EBM Administration: Oversee the Electronic Billing Machine (EBM) operations for clients, ensuring every transaction is properly documented and compliant with Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) mandates.
Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the RRA and other government bodies during audits or inquiries, representing the clients with transparency and professionalism.
Advisory Services: Provide clear, law-based financial advice to Chinese investors regarding Rwandan tax laws, labor regulations, and investment incentives.
Audit Coordination: Prepare all necessary documentation for annual external audits and internal reviews to ensure "clean" financial standing.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: A member of ICPAR (CPA Rwanda) or ACCA is preferred.
Experience: at least 2 years of professional accounting and tax experience specifically within the Rwandan market.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks) and the RRA e-tax portal.
Languages: Native-level English or Kinyarwanda. The ability to communicate in Mandarin or a proven track record of working with Chinese companies is a significant advantage.
